Sustainable Development Goals for Arth Ayurveda World
Ayurveda holds that the entities that make the universe are the ones that make everyone. This
proximity between people and nature is the foundation of Ayurvedic practices which makes it one of the most sustainable forms of healthcare for the world.
The Sustainable Development Goals put forth by the United Nations in 2015, listed 17 individual goals and 169 targets that are focused on projects, policies and investments that provide multiple benefits to mankind, without sacrificing social, environmental and physical health going forward.
Ayurveda plays an important role in promoting these goals by finding solutions for health,
well-being, mental and intellectual developments that reduce the impact on our
environment and as a society.
India, a land that believes in ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbam’, or that the ‘World is One Family’, has for thousands of years emphasized on Contributing to the society in a meaningful way. And, one
practice that has stood out and truly benefited the world is Ayurveda.
